Our mission at Journey Counseling is to provide quality, affordable counseling services in person and via telehealth. As a therapist with Journey Counseling, you will be providing caring services to a wide range of clients.

Founded in 2024, Journey Counseling is a nonprofit counseling group that strives to provide high-quality, affordable counseling to individuals, couples, and families who could not otherwise afford it, on a sliding fee scale. As a member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to provide services in a safe, nurturing environment; being led by a qualified and caring supervisor.

At Journey Counseling, you will be supervised by Shannon Vitro, Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor. Shannon has 11 years of experience as a psychotherapist (8 as an LCSW), and 5 years as a supervisor. She has a successful private practice, and has led others to reach their individual goals as licensed therapists.

You can expect to receive supervision on best practices, modalities, and legal and ethical issues. When the time comes, you will also receive assistance with passing your licensing exams, setting up your own practice and/or transitioning to your new role as a licensed clinician. All clinicians who have graduated with their master's degree and are working toward licensure will be paid based on their hours worked. 

Journey Counseling is looking for enthusiastic, caring, diligent people who truly want to make a difference within our community. We want people excited to do the necessary work to get their hours and move forward toward licensure. We are here to help you with this work, and will provide you a safe environment to achieve your goals as a therapist.
