Life can be difficult and at times the challenges we face feel impossible. No one should walk through life’s challenges and hardships alone. Everyone deserves a chance to break free from the emotional weight. The decision to attend therapy takes courage and is the first step toward change. Therapy is a place to explore thoughts, behaviors, and emotions with acceptance and support. My passion and approach are with great empathy to help those in need. I provide a safe and nurturing environment for healing and transformation. I believe happiness within ourself can strengthen relationships throughout our lives. I understand individuals may struggle or feel uncomfortable through the healing process. Building trust and a strong rapport is at the core of my practice. I work collaboratively and uniquely to help process emotions and experiences to reach established goals. My therapeutic style is centered around compassion, trust, and respect. My goal is to provide a space for clients to be heard, experience healing, and feel empowered.

I believe each person has a unique story and experiences which impact our daily lives. I integrate mindfulness and self-care into my practice. My education and training have exposed me to multiple theoretical approaches. However, I look to apply an approach tailored and customized to meet the needs of the client(s). I gravitate toward experiential, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, and humanistic/existential; however, my experience has provided exposure and knowledge with cognitive behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavioral (DBT) approaches. I enjoy working with individuals, adolescents, and couples. My specialties include working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, decreasing shame and guilt, trust, emotional processing, trauma, and effective confidence building; as well as, other issues.

I am committed to the journey and will walk alongside you as a support, life coach, and mentor. I look forward to working with you.

To summarize comedian Taylor Tomlinson, therapy is like arm floaties: it provides you the tools and skills to help navigate the pool of life. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental, healing environment where you will be met with empathy and we will collaborate to identify, set, and meet your goals. I am passionate about working with individuals that are struggling with anxiety, phobias, negative thoughts, or have experienced trauma in their life. That being said, I am excited to help anyone that is ready to start their therapeutic experience! I take an integrative approach using Cognitive Behavioral, Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, TEAM therapy (Level 1), psychoeducation, Family Systems, Gottman therapy, person-centered techniques, and more. I have an eclectic background and practice with the belief that everyone is unique and that you are the expert in your own life. I believe in leveraging your strengths, empowering you, and eventually helping you take off the arm floaties and lead a life of well-being.

I’m Sean. My journey into this work began with navigating my own mental health challenges many years ago and supporting others through stress, trauma, and life transitions. I’ve seen how even the smallest moments of insight and connection can change the direction of a life.

I don’t see therapy as a place where someone tells you what to do.

I don’t see therapy as a place where someone tells you what to do. I see it as a space for collaboration, exploration, and growth. As a therapist, I’m not here to choose your path — I’m here to walk it with you.

Think of me as a guide and a companion. You don’t have to go it alone. You don’t have to navigate the wilderness of life without context, knowledge, or support. I offer a partnership built on trust and understanding.

My style is warm and collaborative, blending evidence-based approaches with a grounded, human perspective.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating stress, low confidence, behavioral or personality concerns, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are also healing from trauma, anxiety, and depression, and I strive to provide a warm, affirming space where people feel safe to be honest, seen, and supported. I proudly welcome clients from all backgrounds, including military families, and I’m passionate about helping individuals and families build healthier connections with themselves and others.

As an LPCC Intern, a wife and mom, and with 21 years in the military, I bring a calm, grounded, real-life perspective to therapy—without judgment and without pressure. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative, integrating evidence-based strategies from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build coping skills, strengthen confidence, and create meaningful change. For clients impacted by a loved one’s substance use, I also provide support around boundaries, coping skills, and family dynamics, and may recommend community resources such as Al-Anon when appropriate. If you’ve been holding it together with sheer willpower, iced coffee, and maybe a little denial… I get it. You don’t have to do it alone anymore. Whenever you’re ready to feel lighter and more grounded, I’m here.

I specialize in working with young adults and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, emotional eating, and mild substance use. For instance, you may have grown up in a home that lacked stability or support, or found yourself on a path that feels overwhelming or out of your control. You might cope with those difficult feelings through food or substance use. You may also hide parts of yourself out of fear of being misunderstood or judged if others were to see your true self.

I also support individuals navigating major life transitions or cultural challenges. As a first-generation immigrant who built a life in a foreign country as a young adult without the support of family, I understand what it means to rebuild identity, stability, and belonging in a new environment—without losing your values or sense of self.

My approach is holistic and collaborative, grounded in curiosity and cultural sensitivity. Together, we explore repeating patterns, connect the mind and body to increase emotional awareness, and develop healthier coping skills. Although I was trained within a medical model, I place significant emphasis on lifestyle and nutrition to best support brain health and overall well-being.

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even scary. I create a supportive space where you can be yourself and work through what feels heavy, moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable. You’re welcome to reach out through my website https://www.integrativehealthcounseling.com/  or by email to see if we’re a good fit.
